Each day 10,000 humans are born in the US - and each day 70,000 puppies and kittens are born. As long as these birth rates exist, there will never be enough homes for all the animals. As a result, every year 4 to 6 million animals are euthanized because there are no homes for them.

FROSTY PAWS Ice Cream and Pupsicles (Popsicles) Recipes

My dogs LOVE Frosty Paws - I make the ice cream version for birthday parties or special treats.

Frosty Paws Ice Cream Recipe:

In a blender mix the following - 1 ripe banana, 1 tsp honey, 1 tsp vanilla, 2 tbs peanut butter, 24 oz of cottage cheese (or yogurt). Pour into a large bowl or baking dish and freeze for several hours. If it’s too frozen to serve, simply defrost for 3 minutes in microwave (use your defrost setting - not cook setting!!!!)

Here’s my version of Frosty Paws that I used for our dogs’ birthday party (I added in several scoops of Carob Powder and top it with candy sprinkles right before serving)

To make Frosty Paws Pupsicles:

Take the above recipe and add a little low sodium chicken broth to water it down just a bit, then pour into ice cube trays and freeze. This makes a wonderful treat to cool your dog down on hot summer days!

If you don’t want to mess with the above ingredients, but still want a healthy, tasty and ice cold treat for your dogs, tryThe Honest Kitchen’s Ice Pups mix - my dogs LOVE it!
